Happy October!
As things continue to change, we have prepared a Color-Coded COVID-19 Response Plan based on the color of Richland County. This way everyone will be on the same page and know what to expect as our county’s color changes. At Yellow and Orange you can expect small group programs inside or outside, restrooms open to the public, and no limits on the number of people in the building at a time. When Richland County is Red, all small group programs will be outside, our restrooms will be closed to the public, and we will be limited to 25 people inside at a time (not including the staff). Finally, if Richland County goes Purple, we will close our doors to the public; all programs will be virtual and staff will be available for Curbside Service.
Moving forward, make sure you check out our radio station, WMML (1040 AM). We’re still working out the kinks, so make sure you let us know what you think and/or how well it works. We are currently offering prerecorded messages while we’re open along with our live story times.
The Children’s Department is happy to say that we will be able to offer Drive Through Trick or Treat on Friday October 30 from 3:30-5:45. Just drive through curbside to show off your costume and get your bag of Halloween Treats.
Stay safe and happy reading!
