Dear Reader,
I have been busy reading about farms virtually to elementary students and in person to preschoolers. We have learned about many different types of farms and their value in our world. As one book said “without farmers we wouldn’t eat.” Did you know that I grew up on a grain farm and my dad still lives there today?
The children at story time worked with flannels and Fisher Price farm animals. We practiced Farm-Themed Nursery Rhymes such as Hey Diddle Diddle and Little Bo Peep.
This month in November I will be reading about birds and a specific Thanksgiving bird – the Turkey!

Happy November!
This year is winding down, and I for one am thankful for that! I’m thankful that despite everything, we have been able to continue serving you and working to meet your needs, even if it’s all in 
nontraditional ways. I’m also thankful for my brand new, super cute nephew! You might have noticed an absence of Miss Jami and her loud voice for a week in October. I was able to go home to Pennsylvania to meet the new baby and recharge my batteries. Hopefully you’ve all been able to do something that helps you stay healthy, happy, and focused.
Our November plans include some more of the same. We’ll continue with our Story Times and Family Nights. We’ve also switched up the November Children’s Cooking Program to fit the needs of this year. Let’s swap cooking videos! If you have a young, budding chef in the house, send me a video of them making their signature dish and the recipe. Then starting on November 14 with my video, we’ll share them on our Facebook and YouTube pages.
